IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Important information for those viewing the rehearsal process

Due to the structure of the 'Final Production Project' module, staff (academic, support and technical) and students are required to view one anothers work for

up-to ten minutes a week.

As previously stated on this website (see about) 'To build a home' has prolonged moments of darkness, flashing images and discusses uncomfortable themes.

Before each of the weekly showings the performer will inform viewers on any relevant information, such as health and safety and a scene summary, and what

to do in the case you wish to leave the studio space.

If you have any prior issues (such as anxiety or epilepsy) please inform the performer as soon as possible in order that relevant departmental staff can be contacted and appropriate seating arrangements can be arranged.

Although the production is designed to be testing, your comfortability is always being considered and evaluated.

Important information for those receiving private viewings

In terms of 'To build a home' a private viewing is when a singular or a group of people have been invited or requested to view the full production, in whatever form it is, with minimal technical assistance, in the rehearsal studio space.

After completion of the viewing, the performer will then ask for your critical opinion (such as what worked and what didn't). Please be as honest as possible as this is a crucial opportunity for the performer as it could help provide crucial edits or change dramatical direction.

The performer, like in the previous section, will provide you with all relevant information. For more information see the above post.

Important information for the general public (ticket holders)

'To build a home' contains flashing images and prolonged moments of darkness. The production also discusses uncomfortable themes in relation to mental health such as suicide and self-harm. Due to this, viewer discretion is highly advised.

Tickets are currently on sale via the Aberystwyth Arts Centre box office.
